Dr. Fellows and School security officer

This week, our school community was reminded that learning, leadership, and inspiration flow in every direction.

Deep Run High School Principal, Dr. Fellows, recently visited one of our kindergarten classrooms for a special read-aloud and conversation with students. After sharing a favorite storybook with the class, he asked the young learners an important question:

“What advice would you give to our graduating seniors as they prepare for their next chapter?” Our kindergarteners did not hesitate to respond with thoughts about kindness, friendships, and listening to your teachers.

Their heartfelt responses brought smiles, laughter, and a few thoughtful moments. The visit was more than a reading activity. It was a meaningful reminder of the strong connections that unite our schools from the very beginning of a student’s journey through graduation day. Our feeder pattern is more than a pathway between buildings; it is a community built on relationships, encouragement, and shared experiences.

As our seniors prepare to cross the graduation stage, the wisdom shared by these youngest students serves as a powerful reflection of the values that define our school community: kindness, perseverance, curiosity, and belonging.

We are grateful for Dr. Fellows and the community connections we have with our feeder pattern schools!
