Rivers Edge students have been showing off their running skills recently!
Our Girls on the Run Team members have been preparing for their upcoming 5K. In addition, they have been learning what it means to be strong, confident, and connected!
All of our students also participated in the "Fastest Class Challenge" in PE classes. Mr. Rutman and Mrs. Salmon were impressed with the total miles run and the impressive increase in students' speed and excitement!
And as in recent years, Rivers Edge came in FIRST PLACE again at the Regency Mile competition. We had nearly 100 students running which resulted in a $600 cash award for new PE equipment! Rivers Edge is proud of our student participants and families who took part in this wonderful community event. In addition to providing a fun family day of racing, the proceed of the Regency Mile go directly "to producing free fitness programs in Richmond's lowest-opportunity neighborhoods." Our Eagles love running and supporting our community!
