We remain grateful for our REES teachers, students, and families. What a gift to be part of such a supportive community! This week, our school added over 1,500 cans of food to the Henrico Christmas Mother collection. This is a wonderful non-profit organization that provides holiday assistance to families throughout Henrico County. We'd like to give a special shout out to one of our amazing eagles who worked with her family to collect over 600 cans to donate. What a great example for us all!
In other exciting news, Ms. Mumford was just named Virginia State Literacy Association's Literacy Teacher of the Year. What a great tribute we have all enjoyed celebrating! Along with the honor, Ms. Mumford was granted $500 to spend on a literacy project with students. We appreciate Ms. Mumford's and all our teachers' hard work and commitment to literacy!
