The gifted referral window is open now until Thursday, November 12, at 11:59 PM. Please note that we are unable to accept referrals after November 12. During this time, students may be referred to the gifted identification process by an educator, parent/guardian, community member, peer, or self. By submitting a referral, you are requesting your child be evaluated to determine eligibility for gifted services. To learn more about the gifted identification process, please click here and/or watch this video. To begin a referral, login to PowerSchool and click on forms. Follow this guide for instructions. We are creating a video to recognize and celebrate Veterans in our REES community! The video will be featured during the 3rd Grade Veterans Day Performance on November 11th. We would love to highlight Veterans who are special to our students and staff members. Form submissions are not limited to 3rd grade teachers & students- this is open to all families.  Please submit the information and photos needed for the video using the google form linked below.

If you would like to have a Veteran featured in the video, please complete the form no later than Wednesday, November 4th.If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Lexi Jennings (music teacher). How will extended absences be approved? Principals may excuse extended absences one time during the year. Written requests for extended absences must be submitted at least 

ten days prior to the requested dates.  All absences will need to be reviewed and approved ahead of time by the principal and notification regarding the excused absences will be sent to the parent.  

If your child has “lost” their jacket, shirts, etc., please encourage them to check for items tomorrow. We will be donating all items tomorrow at the end of the day. 

If interested in volunteering in the café, please sign up for time by clicking our Cafeteria Volunteer SignUp Genius.  We ask our REES café volunteers to assist students with opening up their lunch items and cleaning tables at the end of the lunch period. Don’t forget to complete the HCPS Volunteer Application before signing up to help. 

Complete 2026-2027 Volunteer applications today! Please note that there must be a new application every year and you MUST complete one in order to visit the school or chaperone field trips. All visitors, at any time, must present a physical photo ID (not a picture).
